Study aim: "The purpose of the present study was to investigate the mechanisms limiting the bioavailability of BDE 209 to deposit-feeding invertebrates. The specific objectives were to test the hypothesis that BDE 209 does not bioaccumulate because it is too large and to determine whether the bioavailability of BDE 209 is influenced by the presence of other BDEs."
