Study aim: "The relationship between concentrations of non-polar organic contaminants in sediments, sediment organic matter, and concentrations of these compounds in aquatic organisms has been an active research area. The objective of much of this work has been to develop equilibrium based prediction of bioaccumulation potential (organism concentration resulting from exposure to contaminated sediment)."
