Study aim: "The aims of this study were to evaluate the roles of organic enrichment with labile and nutritious algal matter and of burrowing activity of N. diversicolor on the fate of TCB. In particular, our experiment was designed to test (1) whether TCB accumulation by N. diversicolor was affected by the organic enrichment, (2) whether the sediment release of TCB was affected by organic enrichment, (3) whether the sediment release of TCB was affected by burrowing activity of N. diversicolor, and (4) whether burrowing activity contributes to the downward transport of TCB into sediments."
